The posters presented here are student works from the AD 0253C Lighting Design class of the Department of Architecture of the University of San Carlos for S.Y. 2021-2022 under the supervision of Ar. Robert B. Malayao, MSc, LEED Green Assoc.

The students were tasked to prepare an exterior lighting design of a heritage structure that USC CHERISH was able to previously document. Students are required to put extra consideration that their designs must not contribute to light pollution.

The works are not peer-reviewed and are simply applications of the lessons discussed in the class. Although consultations were done in class, accuracy of the works cannot be guaranteed. Therefore, experts in the field are still required to be consulted for similar projects.

In celebration of the International Dark Sky Week for 2022 and the dissemination of the architects' responsibility and professional capacity to reduce light pollution, the United Architects of the Philippines - Cebu Chapter has partnered with the Department of Architecture and the Conservation and Heritage Research Institute for Society and its History (CHERISH) of the University of San Carlos.
